One of the best ways to find new DnD players is to make them! Greg gives you some tips to help grow your tabletop gaming group by inviting new players to the table.
Here’s the nitty gritty:
Match the system to the player you’re trying to bring into the game
If they like dense and complicated things, give them a more complicated experience with a game like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, or Cyberpunk Red.
If they’re more interested in narrative and roleplay elements, go with something more straightforward like Monster of the Week or 10 Candles.
Match the scenario to the new player.
Make sure you know what your new player is interested in, and pick a scenario or module that will appeal to them.
Involve them in the game
Make sure you, and everyone at your table, is actively involving the new player, and passing the scene to them.
By taking the time to make sure you’re introducing a new player to the best experience possible, not only will you have a new player in your group, but they’ll have the best time possible and be much more likely to come back to the table.
