An isolated farmhouse in rural Missouri burned to the ground 40 years ago, with a mother and her twins trapped inside. Those were not the first deaths on the property. Three years ago, someone stopped paying the property taxes and the plot went up for auction. Two months ago, Axle Syntax, overnight crypto millionaire, closed on the property. His fiance, Valerie XO, is dead set on restoring the property to its former glory, because that’s just, like, the vibe she gets here. Last week, construction stopped because the crew was dealing with things they couldn’t explain and refused to continue working. Voices when they were alone, children’s laughter coming from the basement, unexplained temperature drops, the smell of burning. This morning, a team from the Missouri State University – St. Louis Paranormal Research Division got on the road to investigate.
